Hon'ble Adv. Ankushraoji Tope Saheb was born on 18 September 1942 at Patharwala Taluka Ambad, District Jalna. He completed his education upto B.Sc., LL.B. He represented as M.L.A. of Ambad constitutency for couple of terms as well Member of Parliament (M.P.) of Jalna district for one term. Considering the educational backwardness of the region and with a view to make the educational facilities available to the poor and the rural students of the region, Honorable Advocate Ankushraoji Tope, established an educational institution named “Matsyodari Shikshan Sanstha” in 1974 at Taluka Ambad, district Jalna.
Within a span of 45 years, it has emerged as one of the most reputed and quality conscious educational institutions. It is awarded as the Best Educational Institute by the government of Maharashtra. The institute has eight senior colleges, ten junior colleges, forty two primary and secondary schools, three hostels and one military school. Matsyodari Shikshan Sanstha started “Arts and Commerce College” at Jalna in 1983, which is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The college is now renamed as Ankushrao Tope College, Jalna.
